Baxter International plans to buy a line of dialysis products from Edwards Lifesciences for $65 million. The acquisition includes Edwards’ “continuous renal replacement therapy” products, for a cash payment of $56 million when the buyout is completed, another $9 million if revenue targets are met over the next two years. If regulatory agencies approve of the merger, Baxter expects the merger to be completed within the third quarter of this year. (Click here for more)
