Boston Scientific’s chief financial officer believes the company has countered its critics by being successful with products that resulted from its 2006 takeover of device maker Guidant. Sam Leno told investors at a conference the deal has proven to be a growth engine for Boston Scientific. Five years from now, he said, the deal would be seen as one of the Boston Scientific’s most strategic acquisitions.
