Medtronic has been asked by another Senate committee to provide information about a U.S. Army surgeon’s involvement with the company under a government contract. Leaders of the Senate Armed Services Committee sent a letter to the Army secretary to request that he give the panel the results of all investigations into the involvement of a surgeon who published a falsified journal article while receiving payments from Medtronic. Medtronic has said it did not fund nor participate in the study. Another Senate committee also has taken an interest in the case. (Click here for more – a subscription may be required)
