BD Completes $275 Million Buy Of HandyLab Diagnostics Maker

Becton Dickinson says it has completed its $275 million acquisition of HandyLab, a specialist in molecular diagnostics. BD and HandyLab had begun an alliance earlier this year to combine BD’s GenOhm test with HandyLab’s Jaguar diagnostic. With the buy, BD gets ownership of the HandyLabs diagnostic platform, a hands-free operation that takes a test from sample preparation to detection. (Click here for more)
