Boston Scientific says It plans to close its plant in Doral, Fla., and move its operations to Costa Rica and its lower wages. About 1,400 jobs at the Doral plant are to be phased out by 2012. The departure of Boston Scientific would be the third such move by a life sciences company in the area, following the closing of plants by FLA Orthopedics and Johnson & Johnson.
