C.R. Bard and Covidien are the targets in a pair of class-action suits whose lawyers want them merged into an even larger suit. The suits, 19 in Georgia, involve synthetic surgical mesh tissue supports made by the two companies. The Georgia lawyer has sought court permission to merge the suits with a similar West Virginia suit that involves 34 cases. At issue are the Avaulta Plus and Avaulta Solo products marketed by Bard and produced by Covidien. (Click here for more)
